Today, my solo cup is filled with anticipation.
One of the many perks of working for yourself is getting to schedule your vacation time at your discretion. There are no forms to fill out or approvals to wait for. You simply decide, plan and go (as long as you have the dough).
This week we are headed to Marco Island, FL, where it's practically summer year-round. We leave Wednesday morning, and it can't get here fast enough. Not only will the warmth of the sunshine state be met with my artificially tanned arms and new summer wardrobe, but also the mindset to truly relax and put the mobile device(s) down for a while. It's a week away from the Twitter feeds, LinkedIn connections and Facebook likes. A time to reflect on what's next. With the end of another quarter approaching, it's time to mentally assess wins and losses. It's time to review client objectives and schedule new projects. It's time to regroup and renew the creative juices and autonomous spirit.
Amidst the rejuvenation, I will be writing my daily blog post - sitting aside the ocean or at a local café, diner or Tiki bar. You never know what might be in my solo cup........shark!
Follow my blog as I will be contributing to my newly created series - Making Sense (Cents) of Solopreneurship daily (Monday-Friday). Find out what 'my solo cup is filled with' each day and please feel free to share your thoughts, comments or suggestions.
Christina, our President & Director of Content, loves to write about anything. The only thing missing is the assignment. Just give her a topic and she's off - to stimulate her word generator and exercise her research skills to deliver content that is entertaining, relevant, and timely.
